It's a common misconception.  Many people who have never quit smoking tend to think that, after a certain period of time, that's it - the quit is a fait accompli - the Quitter has nothing further to worry about.

The truth is that, while we Quit Keepers don't have the immediate earth-shattering symptoms to deal with anymore, we do still need support.  Go to any "Help Me Quit Smoking" site you like and read a few of the posts.  People still lose their Quits even after being smoke-free for five or more years.

So we support each other here and help each other remember our goal - to live smoke-free for the rest of our lives.  And we laugh and joke and play games and trade recipes and give each other Karma points and show each other pictures of the families that we'll get to live and love longer now that we're Quit.

Smile
